The Milwaukee Bucks lose Michael Redd for a while

Blogged under Big Bucks News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Injuries by alleyoop on Monday 2 November 2009 at 4:28 pm

The Bucks will be without Michael Redd for the next two weeks due to pain in his surgically repaired left knee. Redd has played in 2 games for the Bucks this season and he has averaged 31.0 minutes, 13.0 points, 4.5 rebounds, 2.0 assists and 2.5 steals per game. Charlie Bell, Carlos Delfino and rookie Jodie Meeks will all likely see increased playing time while Redd is out of action. Bell has played in 2 games (0 starts) this season for the Bucks and he has averaged 28.0 minutes, 5.5 points, 3.0 rebounds, 2.5 assists and 1.5 steals per game. Carlos Delfino has played in 1 game this season for the Bucks and he worked 20 minutes scoring 5 points, grabbing 3 rebounds and he had 1 assist. Meeks has not played yet this season for the Bucks. Losing Redd is a major blow to the Bucks that they won’t be able to recover from. They better hope his knee responds to rest.

The Milwaukee Bucks lose forward Joe Alexander

Blogged under Big Bucks News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Injuries by alleyoop on Saturday 24 October 2009 at 6:57 am

The Bucks have lost small forward Joe Alexander for the next 8-12 weeks with a partially torn hamstring. This injury will hurt Alexander more than the Bucks as he was going to likely get a real chance to show what he can do this season. Hakim Warrick and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute will likely share the small forward job for the Bucks until Alexander is ready to return to action. How much he plays when he gets back will depend on how well the other guys play while he is out of action.

Desmond Mason out until late February for the Milwaukee Bucks

Blogged under Big Bucks News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Injuries by alleyoop on Wednesday 16 January 2008 at 8:33 am

Starting small forward Desmond Mason will be out until late February after he had surgery to repair a torn ligament in his left thumb. Mason has played in 25 games this season for the Bucks and he is averaging 26.1 minutes, 8.0 points, 3.9 rebounds and 1.7 assists per game. Bobby Simmons has replaced Mason in the starting lineup. Simmons has played in 33 games this season and he’s averaging 22.8 minutes, 7.0 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

The Milwaukee Bucks lose center Jake Voskuhl indefinately

Blogged under Big Bucks News,Bloglockers,Front Page,Injuries,Uncategorized by alleyoop on Tuesday 15 January 2008 at 8:23 pm

The Bucks have lost backup center Jake Voskuhl indefinately with a injured right hip. Voskuhl has played in 24 games so far this season and he’s averaging 9.9 minutes, 3.0 points, 2.4 rebounds and 0.5 assists per game. Voskuhl has shot the ball extremely well so far this season as he’s shooting 57.4% from the floor and 81% from the free throw line. Look for Dan Gadzuric and Charlie Villanueva to pick up extra minutes with Voskuhl out.

The Milwaukee Bucks will be without Michael Ruffin for awhile

Blogged under Big Bucks News,Bloglockers,Front Page,Injuries by alleyoop on Thursday 15 November 2007 at 10:32 pm

The Bucks will be without reserve power forward Michael Ruffin for the next 4-6 weeks as he has a broken wrist. Ruffin has only played in 6 games this season and he has averaged 7.7 minutes, 0.8 points and 1.0 rebound per game. Ruffin was buried on the depth chart behind Yi Jianlian and Charlie Villanueva so they shouldn’t miss him much.

The Milwaukee Bucks decide to shut down Michael Redd for the remainder of the season

Blogged under Big Bucks News,Bloglockers,Front Page,Injuries by alleyoop on Tuesday 10 April 2007 at 9:52 pm

Michael Redd will miss the remainder of the season after aggravating his left knee injury. This is just the latest blow for the Bucks this season as they stagger to the finish line. Redd only played in 53 games this season and he averaged 38.5 minutes, 26.7 points, 3.7 rebounds, 2.3 assists and 1.2 steals per game. The Bucks made a smart move in shutting Redd down because he’s the centerpiece of this franchise.

The Milwaukee Bucks lose Andrew Bogut and Charlie Villanueva for the season

Blogged under Big Bucks News,Bloglockers,Front Page,Injuries by alleyoop on Saturday 24 March 2007 at 6:38 pm

Just when you thought the season couldn’t get any worse for the Bucks this bad news comes down. Bogut has a bad foot sprain and he will need to immobilize the foot for the next 2-4 weeks. Bogut played in 66 games this season and he averaged 34.2 minutes, 12.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. He also shot well from the floor (55.3%) but had troubles at the line (57.7%). Bogut improved in his second season in the NBA and looks like he has a bright future for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Charlie Villanueva’s season is ending because he has had arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder that will take him 4-6 months to recover from. Villanueva played in 39 games and he averaged 25.2 minutes, 11.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. He shot well from the floor (47%) and the free throw line (82%). Overall the Bucks were disappointed in Villanueva’s performance but he’s young so he has time on his side.

Earl Boykins out until late March

Blogged under Big Bucks News,Bloglockers,Front Page,Injuries by alleyoop on Friday 9 March 2007 at 1:37 am

Earl Boykins will be out until late March. He has decided not to have surgery to repair the torn ligaments in his right thumb. Look for rookie Lynn Greer to take Boykins minutes until he returns. Boykins has played well for the Bucks since they acquired him for Steve Blake. He has played in 20 games for the Bucks and he’s averaged 33.9 minutes, 14.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. He also has shot an amazing 46.6% from three point range.

Bucks luck runs out

Just when the Bucks got healthy Earl Boykins tore ligaments in his right thumb. It’s unsure at this time whether or not Boykins will try to play through it or shut it down. Boykins ahs played in 51 games this season and he’s averaged 14.8 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists.

The Bucks to be without their back up center for a while

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,Injuries by Nothing but Net on Wednesday 21 February 2007 at 5:06 pm

The Bucks lost Dan Gazduric until late March after he dislocated his left shoulder. This could hurt the Bucks a little bit as he would give Andrew Bogut a breather every night. Gadzuric has played in 44 games this season and has averaged 12.8 minutes, 3.8 points and 3.6 rebounds per game.
