The Bucks outrebounded the Bulls 51-42 tonight but they only shot 32.1% and that killed them on the scoreboard.  John Salmons shot 5 of 17 from the floor tonight but he still finished up with 18 points, 4 rebounds, 2 assists and 1 blocked shot.  Corey Maggette had a solid game off the bench for the Bucks tonight with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 1 assist in 27 minutes.  Luc Richard Mbah a Moute got a rare start and he played well finishing up with 12 points, 10 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot in 34 minutes.  Keyon Dooling (11 points) and Ersan Ilyasova (10 points) also helped out the cause for the Bucks tonight.  The Bucks are now 12-18 on the year.

Corey Maggette is still in the Milwaukee Bucks’ Dog House

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Need to step up by admin on Tuesday 28 December 2010 at 9:21 pm

31-year old small forward Corey Maggette had a December to forget as he started and ended it in the Dog House.  In between, he had a concussion and missed a few games.  Maggette has played in 12 games in December and he is averaging 14.7 minutes, 7.1 points, 2.3 rebounds and 0.9 assists on 38.8% shooting from the floor.  Maggette has now played in 24 games (0 starts) so far this year for the Bucks and he is averaging 19.0 minutes, 10.5 points, 3.4 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game.  With the Bucks having problems scoring lately it just doesn’t make much sense to keep Maggette’s butt nailed to the bench.

Atlanta Hawks 95, Milwaukee Bucks 80

The Bucks only shot 37.3% from the floor and they were outrebounded 47-33 in this game which explains the beatdown that they took last night.  John Salmons led the way for the Bucks in this game with 18 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 blocked shot.  Keyon Dooling only shot 5 of 13 from the floor but he still finished up with 15 points, 4 rebounds, 9 assists and 1 steal in 41 minutes.   Andrew Bogut was only 7 of 19 shooting but he still finished up with 14 points, 11 rebounds, 1 assist, 1 steal and 1 blocked shot.  Earl Boykins was only 4 of 11 shooting from the floor but he still finished with 13 points last night.  The Bucks are now 12-17 on the year.

The Bucks outscored the Kings 22-15 to pull away from them in the 4th quarter.  The Bucks were outrebounded 57-37 in this game but they played stellar defense as the Kings only shot 36.5% from the floor.  Earl Boykins led the way for the Bucks in this game with 19 points, 2 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal in 29 minutes on the floor.  Andrew Bogut also had a very solid game with 15 points, 13 rebounds, 1 steal and 4 blocked shots.  Keyon Dooling (14 points, 4 rebounds, 5 assists and 1 steal) and John Salmons (12 points, 4 rebounds, 6 assists and 1 steal on 4 of 14 shooting from the floor) also pitched in.  The Bucks are now 12-16 on the season.

Larry Sanders has been playing o.k. for the Milwaukee Bucks so far this year

Blogged under Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Rookie Reports by admin on Thursday 23 December 2010 at 1:19 am

22-year old PF/C Larry Sanders hasn’t been shooting the ball well (38.2% from the floor and 57% from the free throw line) but he has been very active when given the chance to play.  Sanders has played in 20 games (8 starts) for the  Bucks so far this year and he is averaging 14.7 minutes, 4.0 points, 3.2 rebounds, 0.2 assists and 1.3 blocked shots per game.  I look for Sanders to keep getting minutes and he might get a lot of them backing up Andrew Bogut and Drew Gooden who have been banged up a lot so far this year.

The Milwaukee Bucks lose Brandon Jennings

Blogged under Big Bucks News,Bloglockers,Front Page,General,Injuries,Need to step up by admin on Wednesday 22 December 2010 at 12:26 am

The Bucks will be without starting point guard Brandon Jennings for the next 4-6 weeks due to a broken left foot.  Jennings has played in 25 games (all starts) for the Bucks so far this year and he is averaging 35.5 minutes, 17.9 points, 4.0 rebounds, 5.5 assists and 1.2 steals per game.  Jennings is only shooting 39.1% from the floor this year but the Bucks are still going to miss him because his backups aren’t that great.  Keyon Dooling will replace Jennings in the starting lineup until he returns to action.  Dooling has played in 26 games (2 starts) for the Bucks so far this year and he is averaging 17.7 minutes, 5.5 points, 1.0 rebound and 2.2 assists per game.  Dooling is only shooting 35.4% from the floor this year and he’s a shoot first point guard.  Earl Boykins will likely move up the depth chart to backup Keyon Dooling.  Boykins has played in 16 games (0 starts) so far this year for the Bucks and he is averaging 10.6 minutes, 3.3 points, 0.5 rebounds and 1.8 assists per game.

The Bucks only shot 38% from the floor and they were outrebounded 43-35 and that combination did them in last night in Portland.  John Salmons led the way for the Bucks in this game with 23 points, 3 rebounds, 1 assist and 1 steal.  Keyon Dooling only shot 4 of 12 from the floor but he still finished with 12 points, 5 assists and 1 steal.  Drew Gooden (10 points) and Luc Richard Mbah a Moute (10 points) pitched in offensively off the bench.  The Bucks are now 10-16 on the season.
