The Bucks have signed 32-year old center Francisco Elson to a 2-year, $3.2 million dollar contract. Elson is a big boy at 7’2″, 235 pounds and he will be Andrew Bogut’s backup this season. Elson played in 63 games (5 starts) last season for the Spurs and Sonics and he averaged 12.9 minutes, 3.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 0.4 assists per game. Look for Elson to play 15-20 minutes per night with the Bucks during the 2008-09 season. Elson has now played in 334 games (125 starts) in his NBA career and he has averaged 16.6 minutes, 4.1 points, 3.8 rebounds and 0.6 assists per game. This was a nice little signing for the Bucks.
