Earl Boykins out until late March

Blogged under Bloglockers, Big Bucks News, Injuries, Front Page by alleyoop on Friday 9 March 2007 at 1:37 am

Earl Boykins will be out until late March. He has decided not to have surgery to repair the torn ligaments in his right thumb. Look for rookie Lynn Greer to take Boykins minutes until he returns. Boykins has played well for the Bucks since they acquired him for Steve Blake. He has played in 20 games for the Bucks and he’s averaged 33.9 minutes, 14.3 points, 2.4 rebounds and 4.3 assists per game. He also has shot an amazing 46.6% from three point range.

The Bucks never had a chance last night as they fell behind 49-34 at the half. They only shot 39.5% from the floor and they were outrebounded 41-33 and those are two of the reasons for the loss last night. Michael Redd had a horrible shooting night (3 of 16) but he still finished with 15 points, 4 rebounds and 2 assists. Ruben Patterson had a solid game off of the bench with 14 points.
