Just when you thought the season couldn’t get any worse for the Bucks this bad news comes down. Bogut has a bad foot sprain and he will need to immobilize the foot for the next 2-4 weeks. Bogut played in 66 games this season and he averaged 34.2 minutes, 12.3 points, 8.8 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game. He also shot well from the floor (55.3%) but had troubles at the line (57.7%). Bogut improved in his second season in the NBA and looks like he has a bright future for the Milwaukee Bucks.

Charlie Villanueva’s season is ending because he has had arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder that will take him 4-6 months to recover from. Villanueva played in 39 games and he averaged 25.2 minutes, 11.8 points, 5.8 rebounds and 0.9 assists per game. He shot well from the floor (47%) and the free throw line (82%). Overall the Bucks were disappointed in Villanueva’s performance but he’s young so he has time on his side.

The Bucks fire Terry Stotts

Blogged under Bloglockers, Big Bucks News, Front Page by alleyoop on Saturday 17 March 2007 at 3:37 pm

The Bucks have fired head coach Terry Stotts after he started the season 23-41. Still, Stotts was without start Michael Redd for 20 games and the Bucks were 3-17 in those games. Stotts finished his Bucks career with a 63-83 record in almost 2 seasons. The Bucks have hired assistant Larry Krystkowiak to take over as head coach. He is known as a defensive coach so that should signal a change in the Bucks style of play on the court.
