Blogged under Front Page,Injuries by Nothing but Net on Monday 8 January 2007 at 10:43 pm

Michael Redd will miss the next 4-6 weeks with a patellar injury to his left knee. He will be impossible for the Bucks to replace as he is by far the best player on the Bucks team. Redd is averaging 27.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists so far this season.

Ruben Patterson and Charlie Bell will be asked to pick up the slack with Redd out. Patterson is averaging 13.2 points, 4.9 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game this season. Charlie Bell is averaging 11.3 points, 2.1 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game this season.Â

Charlie Villanueva received a cortisone shot in his shoulder to deal with a tendinitis problem. He will miss at least another week. The Bucks really need to get Villanueva healthy to justify the trade they made with the Raptors. He’s averaging 12.7 points, 6.1 rebounds and 1.2 assists per game.

Ruben Patterson producing off the bench

Blogged under Front Page,Steppin' Up by Nothing but Net on Sunday 7 January 2007 at 10:37 pm

Ruben Patterson has really played well off the bench for the Bucks lately. Patterson has shot 60% from the floor and has averaged 15.8 points, 5.7 rebounds and 3.8 assists in his last 6 games. The Bucks are playing better on offense with Patterson providing firepower off the bench, so he will likely stay in that role even though he plays as much as a starter.
