Bucks season has been ruined by injury

Blogged under Front Page by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 30 January 2007 at 4:00 pm

The Bucks are having a rough time this season as they sit at 18-26. The Bucks need to keep close until Michael Redd returns from injury. Redd is the Bucks best player as he’s averaging 27.7 points, 3.8 rebounds and 2.2 assists per game this season. Maurice Williams has missed a little time this season, but when he’s played he’s been great. He is averaging 17.7 points, 5.4 rebounds and 6.3 assists per game this season and the Bucks will need to keep playing like that in the second half of the season. Center Andrew Bogut has been picking up his game with Redd out. He’s averaging 12.3 points, 8.7 rebounds and 3.0 assists per game this season and the Bucks hope he’ll even do better in the second half. Little Earl Boykins has been a sparkplug for the Bucks since they traded for him. In 9 games since the trade, Boykins in averaging 19.0 points, 2.8 rebounds and 5.2 assist per game and the Bucks need him to keep that up. The player that has been a huge disppointment in the firs half for the Bucks as he’s only averaging 12.2 points and 6.1 rebounds per game this season. The Bucks need him to step up in the second half.  Ruben Patterson (14.1 points, 5.3 rebounds, 3.1 assists) and Charlie Bell (12.2 points, 2.5 rebounds, 3.0 assists) both have played well on offense for the Bucks and they need them to continue in the second half. The Bucks really need Brian Skinner to play a little better than he has this season especially if they are going to continue starting him. Skinner is averaging 4.6 points and 5.1 rebounds per game this season. Rookie Ersan Ilysavoa (6.0 points, 3.1 rebounds) and Dan Gadzuric (4.1 points, 3.6 rebounds) must continue to play well in their limited minutes on the court.

Charlie Bell playing poorly as of late

Blogged under Front Page,Need to step up by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 23 January 2007 at 11:23 pm

With the Bucks missing both starting guards (Michael Redd & Maurice Williams) due to injury they needed Charlie Bell to step up but it hasn’t happened yet. In his last 6 games, Bell has averaged 12.8 points, 3.2 rebounds, 1.8 assists and 1.8 steals per game. Bell needs to improve his shooting from the floor as he’s only hit 33.7% from the floor in his last 6 games and that needs to change or the Bucks are going to continue to have problems scoring.

Andrew Bogut is steppin’ up big time

Blogged under Front Page,Steppin' Up by Nothing but Net on Tuesday 23 January 2007 at 11:17 pm

With the injuries to Maurice Williams, Michael Redd and Charlie Villanueva the Bucks needed someone to step up and give them more scoring. Andrew Bogut has been that guy for them. In his last 6 games, Bogut is averaging 16.7 points, 12.5 rebounds, 3.3 assists and 1.2 blocked shots per game. He also is shooting an amazing 61.6% from the floor. Bogut is doing his best to keep the Bucks in the playoff hunt until the troops get healthy.
